Department of Economics, University of Chicago

Paymon Khorrami is a PhD Student in Finance and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research interests lie in understanding the role of financial frictions in asset pricing and macroeconomics. For example, in one of his papers, he studies how endogenous participation attenuates the implications of limited asset market participation for risk premia and price dynamics. In another project, he studies linkages between growth in income inequality and financial intermediation, which have both been observed in the U.S. and other developed countries. Before entering graduate school, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, assisting with research on financial markets microstructure and household finance, as well as with policy work.
