About the Workshop

The workshop has three main functions: (1) It is a forum for advanced graduate students to present papers and receive feedback. (2) It is a forum for all members of the workshop to translate and discuss ancient philosophical texts. For the 2019–2020 academic year we will be reading Aristotle's Rhetoric. (3) The workshop sponsors talks by distinguished local, national, and international members of the ancient philosophy community.
