April 6: Amy Gentry, Department of English Language and Literature presents a chapter from her dissertation: “The Limits of Modernist Miniaturism: Marianne Moore, William Carlos Willliams, and Louis Zukofsky”

April 13: Dr. Pam Thurschwell, Senior Lecturer in English, University of Sussex, presents a chapter from her forthcoming book, tentatively titled, Out of Time: The Temporality of Adolescence in the 20th Century. The chapter is titled, “‘As If’ Adolescence in the 1890s: Acting your Age in The Awkward
Age”.

April 27: Marie Satya McDonough, Department of English Language and Literature presents a chapter from her dissertation: “The Uses of Exemplarity,” on Black feminist thought and literature.

May 18: In collaboration with the Medicine, Body, and Practice workshop, Averill Leslie presents “The Kinship of Kallikaks: Henry Goddard’s Ad Hoc Charting of a Pathogenic Family and its Foil” from her dissertation.
