Professor Martin Karplus of Harvard University, a 2013 Chemistry Nobel Prize Laureate, delivered the fourth annual Hillhouse Memorial Lecture on March 6, 2017. The lecture, titled “Motion: Hallmark of Life. From Marsupials to Molecules”, was attended by an enormous and diverse audience, ranging from undergraduate students to emeritus faculty, from the Chemistry Department to the Institute for Molecular Engineering. Throughout the day, he also met with undergraduate and graduate students to discuss about a wide variety of topics, ranging from life/career questions to research and science questions.
