About Me

I spent my formative years in Columbus, Ohio, where I learned an alternate meaning for ditch. In 2013 I received my Bachelor’s from the Ohio State University, where I studied linguistics and Arabic. I studied for two summers in Amman, Jordan where I picked up some passable Shami Arabic. I’ve also studied French and Japanese, although French is currently the only language I actively use in my linguistics career as a research language in Cameroon.

When I’m not working you can find me doing Zumba, biking around the Chicago area, or cooking something I’ve never made before.
