Our Miss Brooks 100—honoring the legacy of the first African American Pulitzer prize winner poet Gwendolyn Brooks—is a multidisciplinary year-and-half centennial initiative facilitated by a Chicago-based team of writers, educators, administrators, and cultural advisors. Between January 2017 and June 2018, OMB100 will engage local and national partners in education, the arts, and the broader civic space, to produce a wide-range of programs. The University of Chicago is proud to partner with OMB100 to present a variety of related events throughout 2017.
