We are delighted to announce that Dr. Katrina Lee has been appointed to the University of Chicago’s Medical Staff Organization as a Councilor. In this role, Dr. Lee will serve as a member of the Medical Executive Committee representing medical staff members in activities involving governance and patient care, regulation and accreditation, and patient safety policies.
Before joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a Generalist in June of 2020, Dr. Lee served as a disease-specific care perinatal reviewer for The Joint Commission. In this role, she helped provide an external assessment of healthcare organizations’ compliance to clinical standards and guidelines, such as patient care policies and protocols, education and privileging processes, medical staff credentialing, and perinatal program compliance.
