City Colleges of Chicago Cancer Clinical Research Internship (C5RI)

The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center welcomes City Colleges of Chicago students to explore exciting careers in cancer clinical research through the City Colleges of Chicago Cancer Clinical Research Internship (C5RI) program. Over the course of six weeks in the summer, participants work part time across the clinical research field engaging in pre-determined projects, gaining experience in core workforce areas such as regulatory management, clinical research coordination, data management, and quality assurance. Throughout the experience, participants will partake in biweekly faculty seminars and workshops including guest speakers from a variety of STEM professions, workplace tours, professional leadership development, and post-degree planning. The summer internship is complemented during the academic year by monthly career development and skill-building workshops, opportunities for continued cohort community building, and mentorship for post-degree transition. Participants receive a taxable stipend of $3000 ($2750 in the summer, $250 during the academic year).
