PDP is SSA’s Continuing Education department offering an ongoing series of courses, workshops and lectures addressing the evolving issues and challenges faced by social workers and human service professionals in both clinical and administrative roles. CHAS has co-sponsored several events and works with the PDP consistently.

Most recently, on April 26, 2017, CHAS co-sponsored a PDP event which hosted Dr. Emeran Mayer, gastroenterologist and author of The Mind-Gut Connection. Dr. Mayer’s research combines latest in neuroscience and on the human microbiome to suggest revolutionary new ways of treating the mental and physical health disorders.
