The lion-goddess Pakhet (PꜢḫt), whose name may be translated as “The Slasher” (from the root pꜢḫ), was a deity commanding a long-lasting local cult, who embodied the aggressive, ferine nature that her appellation suggests. She represents one of the many potent lionesses in the Egyptian pantheon.

One of the most peculiar entities is the so-called Miuti, the “Cat-Like One.” The study of this figure reveals a lot of information not only about him but also about the Egyptian supernatural world in general and allows us to question our approach in the research of similar entities.
