Master of Arts in Divinity (MA)
The MA course of study can be completed in 2 years. Full-time enrollment is required for most students.
Successful completion of a minimum of 15 courses, including DVSC 30400– Introduction to the Study of Religion, and one course in each of the three faculty committees.
Demonstrated competence in either French or German through an exam or course from the Chicago Language Center.
Admission into the MA Program is offered on a yearly basis.
January 7- Priority deadline
April 13- Final round deadline for international students
August 1- Final round deadline for domestic students (US citizens and permanent residents)
Priority admission and aid decisions are released in early March. Afterwards, admission and aid decisions are released on a rolling basis, typically 2-3 weeks after all application materials have been received.

Tuition is charged on a quarterly basis.
2019-2020 MA Tuition:
$12,100: Full-time (3-4 courses)
$6,050: Half-time (less than 3 courses)
The Divinity School offers merit-based scholarship for MA applicants. Awards are renewable for 2 years.
