Help GREEN the NFL Draft!20160330_095310

Join the UChicago Environment, Agriculture and Food (EAF) group in helping this year’s NFL Draft go green! EAF is partnering with the NFL, Chicago Sports Commission and others to assist in the sustainability initiatives for this year’s NFL Draft festivities in Grant Park from April 28-30. The event is a fun-filled 3 days showcasing all NFL teams, players, activities and great food from Chicago vendors.

It is our goal to have UChicago students lead the way in making this event in downtown Chicago as green as can be! Plus, it’ll be a great way to get an insider’s view on how a large-scale, high-profile event incorporates sustainable practices.

The Green Team will be responsible for ensuring fans are recycling and composting the proper materials so that we are ultimately putting together an extremely environmentally conscious event. We need your help!

Please apply here by next Friday, April 8th if interested in volunteering. We will communicate information to all accepted volunteers on how to register for specific shifts by Monday, April 11th. Volunteers will be expected to attend an Orientation/Training session at Soldier Field on Monday, April 25th with more details to be provided after accepted volunteers have officially registered for shifts.
We are looking for individuals who love customer service and supporting fans’ needs, and who love football! Please forward this email to anyone you know who might also be interested. We can’t wait to hear from you!

Please email volunteer@chicagosportscommission.com or sabina@uchicago.edu with any questions!
