Early Modern Philosophy Workshop
The workshop is a forum for graduate students and faculty from various departments to engage with Modern thinkers. The meetings are devoted to a discussion of papers by visiting speakers and graduate students from philosophy, divinity, social thought and other departments.

This week we are delighted to welcome Josef Stern, who will present a paper entitled:

“Maimonides on the False Prophet: The Epistemology of Prophecy and the Maimonidean Circle”

The paper should be read in advance. The meeting will take place on Friday, November 2 from 10:30 to 12:30 in Wieboldt 111.

On Friday, October 19, we will host a joint session with the German Philosophy Workshop. Our guest will be Samuel Levey, who will be discussing his paper “On Unity, Borrowed Reality and Multitude in Leibniz”.

The meeting will take place from 1:30-4:30 in Cobb 101, with a reception to follow in the Anscombe lounge. Please note the unusual time and location.
