The Late Antiquity Reading Group (formerly the Early Christian and Late Ancient Studies Reading Group) is dedicated to the study of the broader Mediterranean and Middle East in the first millennium. This initiative brings together scholars from across the University of Chicago and surrounding universities to discuss recent publications and the latest research in the field. Complementing existing workshops and seminars, the reading group fosters an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the late antique world.
