Founded at the beginning of 2020, the ECLAS Reading Group is dedicated to the study of the larger Mediterranean world through the period of late antiquity. This initiative brings together scholars from across the University of Chicago and surrounding universities to discuss recent publications and the latest research. Complementing existing workshops and seminars, the reading group fosters an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the ancient world.
