The upcoming “South Side I Do” Hyde Park Wedding Stroll, sponsored by UChicago Local in association with Modern Luxury Weddings Chicago, includes 38 wedding-related venues and vendors, almost exclusively from the South Side. The event takes place Sunday, September 9, from 12-4 p.m., and is thought to be the first South Side-based wedding event of its kind.
Guests will check in at Harper Court, before making their way to six Hyde Park stops: Vanille Patisserie, Connect Gallery, Hyatt Place, Jojayden, and The Silver Room – ending at The Promontory with a live DJ, cash bar, and light bites. At the locations, guests will meet a variety of cake designers, caterers, dress/tuxedo designers, event planners and venues, florists, invitation specialists, makeup artists, photographers, and more. Vendors will be offering special incentives to attendees of the event.
Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple, with all proceeds donated to Wish Upon A Wedding, a non-profit group granting wedding wishes to couples dealing with serious illness or a life-altering circumstance. All vendor spots have been filled at this time.
