Trader Joe’s Hyde Park Location Now Officially Open

The new Hyde Park Trader Joe’s store officially opened just before 9 a.m. this morning to cheers from the line of shoppers stretching all the way to Walgreens, and music from the Kenwood Academy High School marching band.

Located in the Hyde Park Shopping Center at 1528 E. 55th Street, the new 11,000-square foot store was ready to welcome the community with seasonal displays of pumpkins and flowers outside, Store Captain Ali Bennouna greeting people as they entered, and Crew Members passing out free shopping bags.

There was a face-painting station outside for the kids, as well as a jazz band. The store is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the grand opening celebration will continue on Saturday, October 19.
