Hyde Park Restaurants Offer Special Valentine’s Day Menus

Valentine’s Day is Sunday, February 14, so why not extend the celebration all weekend long? Several Hyde Park restaurants have created special menus for you and your sweetie, so there’s no need to worry about cooking. Ascione Bistro

1500 E. 55th Street

Ascione Bistro is offering a prix fixe three-course sweetheart menu Friday-Sunday, February 12-14 for $75/per person. First course options include grilled octopus, house-made meatballs, lobster bisque, or grilled romaine salad. Choose from Filet Oscar, double-cut Colorado lamb chops, squid ink linguine with diver scallops, jumbo prawns, PE mussels, Maine lobster risotto, branzino, or Chicken Parmigiana for your second course. Desserts include chocolate cake, tiramisu, crème brulee, or cheesecake. For couples dining on the covered/heated patio, Ascione Bistro is offering one celebratory glass of prosecco per person. For patio dining, pickup, or delivery, the restaurant is currently taking reservations and pre-orders at 773-363-8161. Dine-in hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the last seating at 8:30 p.m. The restaurant’s regular menu will be available as well.

 

Chant

1509 E. 53rd Street

Chant has planned a three-course couples dinner for $100 including crispy shrimp rolls to share, an Asian surf and turf tenderloin filet, and mango roti dulces for dessert. Couples dining in will receive a complimentary glass of Cape Mantelle Sauvignon Blanc.

 

La Petite Folie

1504 E. 55th Street

Set the stage for romance with La Petite Folie’s three-course menu for two at $50/person. Choose from a salad of mixed greens, marinated shrimp and salmon cocktail, or duck pate for your appetizer; pan-seared jumbo sea scallops, roasted rack of lamb, or marinated bistro steak for an entree; and an apple tart, strawberry mousse torte, or chocolate hazelnut torte for dessert. Pair your meal with the perfect wines from the restaurant’s all-French wine list. Please call  773-493-1394 to place your order before Thursday, February 11 for pickup between 1-6 p.m. on Sunday.

 

Virtue

Chef/owner Erick Williams has created a special three-course Valentine’s menu for couples. Choose from roasted oysters with herb butter and parmesan or pickled sugar beets with apples, midnight moon, pecans, and apple butter for the first course. Second course options include honey mustard kissed salmon with glazed turnips, braised mustard greens, and merlot butter or beef filet mignon with crushed red potatoes, green beans, and rosemary-scented red wine sauce. Lobster with drawn butter is available for an extra charge. Mascarpone cheesecake or chocolate truffles are available for dessert, and the package includes a bottle of Schramsberg “Mirabelle” sparkling rosé. A vegetarian menu is also available. Additional sides include mac & cheese, cornbread, and gumbo. The restaurant’s “Patience is a Virtue” cocktail for two can be added to your package. Order the Valentine’s Day meal here.
