Now that we’re able to look ahead to brighter times, people can finally start planning/rescheduling the weddings, parties, and celebrations previously canceled due to the pandemic. And just at the perfect time, there’s an elegant new event space – The Penthouse Hyde Park – to make those special occasions happen, right in the neighborhood.
Situated on the sky level of the historic French Renaissance and Art Deco Piccadilly building at 5107 S. Blackstone Avenue, the magnificent ballroom features panoramic views of the city skyline and Lake Michigan, 20’ arched windows, extended rooftop terrace, catering prep kitchen, and private, two-story VIP suite. Accommodations for up to 200 seated guests include a variety of table sizes, black Chiavari chairs, and two portable bars.
The 14-story Piccadilly building was originally completed in 1926, including the hotel and theatre, which was open to movie-goers from 1927-1963. The entire building has recently undergone substantial renovations, with the hotel suites converted to high-end apartments, and the penthouse reimagined as a one-of-a-kind event destination.
