Suuri Design, a Chicago mother and daughter lifestyle brand, will launch its Hyde Park store on Sunday, November 21 at 5225 S. Harper Court, with a ribbon-cutting at 11:30 a.m. and a special opening event from 12-4 p.m.
Linda Cochran and her daughter Ashley Smith opened their first location in Lincoln Park in August 2016, specializing in unique jewelry pieces. Since then, Suuri Design has evolved into a lifestyle brand offering artisan-made soaps, body products, soy wax candles, and more. Cochran and Smith collaborate with a small team of silversmiths, goldsmiths, and gemologists to create jewelry designs recognized for quality and craftsmanship.
Suuri Design’s mission is to empower its customers through art and beauty by showcasing the work of domestic and international artisan jewelry designers. The store offers custom jewelry design services in addition to jewelry/watch repair and battery replacement.
On opening day, Suuri Design customers will receive a 10% discount on all artisan body care products and jewelry, and 50% of the proceeds from the sale of “Mint 2B” soap will be donated to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH).
Suuri Design is one of the 60+ local small businesses participating in the Southside Shop Local event from November 8 through December 6.
