A portion of sales of each Tripping Billy pizza sold will be donated to Zureikat’s Muscular Dystrophy Awareness Organization fundraiser, which has raised over $43,000 to help children and adults living with Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, and over 50 other neuromuscular diseases.

The pizza is topped with a shishito pepper cream sauce, corn, pickled jalapenos, Bob’s cheese blend, cheddar, and scallions.

Zureikat, a Logan Square logistics manager by day, was diagnosed with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2L in March 2021. He turned to cooking and savory baking as an outlet and developed his signature pizza recipe. He formed friendships with the owners of several local restaurants, serving his pizza at Paulie Gee’s, Pizza Friendly Pizza; Table, Donkey & Stick; Pizza Fried Chicken Ice Cream; and now Bob’s Pizza.

Profiled in a 2022 Chicago Tribune story, Zureikat explained how he gave himself the nickname “Tripping Billy” when he fell while walking his dog and decided to own his diagnosis in an outward way, versus attempting to hide it.

In addition to the Hyde Park Bob’s location, the Tripping Billy pizza is also available at their Evanston, Old Town, and Pilsen locations.

Bob’s Pizza offers a great Happy Hour promotion on Mondays-Thursdays from 4-5 p.m., with buy one get one free pizza and 50% off all beer and wine by the glass. The offer is valid for carryout & dine-in only. No online orders. Certain restrictions apply.

Visit Bob’s Pizza at 1518 E. Harper Court on Sunday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
