Young Children’s Halloween Activities on Sunday, October 26

If you have young children who are excited about Halloween, Hyde Park is the place to be on Sunday, October 26!

Start off with a costume parade from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at *Play Hyde Park at 1502 E. 55th Street in the Hyde Park Shopping Center Courtyard. *Play (in the former Toys et Cetera space) is hosting a costume parade open to all ages, with prizes for the most creative DIY costume. *Play has a great selection of imaginative toys for babies through age 8+, and offers complimentary gift wrap, in-store pickup when you shop online, and special curated gift boxes for any age.

Then you can grab lunch at any of your favorite Hyde Park restaurants, and pop over to the south end of Nichols Park (near 55th Street between Kenwood and Kimbark Avenues) for Pumpkins in the Park from 1-4 p.m.

Enjoy Halloween family fun with pumpkin decoration, crafts, entertainment by Marsha’s Music, stories, disc golf, and photo backdrops – costumes are definitely encouraged!

This is a 4th on 53rd event with sponsorship from Xfinity, SSA #61, the Nichols Park Advisory Council, Bright Horizons Early Education and Preschool, Annette Held Landscape Design, Representative Curtis Tarver II, Hyde Park Disc Golf, Hyde Park Bank, the University of Chicago Office of Civic Engagement, and Hyde Park Produce.
