Harper Court’s Vanille Patisserie, at 5229 S. Harper Court, is gearing up for spring with lots of sweet treats for your holiday celebrations – your only challenge will be which ones to pick! And mark your calendar – kids will be very excited to meet the Easter Bunny, visiting the store on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Try their Bunny Cake ($55.95, serves 8-10) in seven different flavors, or the Bunny Cookie Cake ($49.95, serves 6-10) with two large sugar cookies sandwiched with American-style buttercream. Vanille is now offering custom-printed macarons – a six piece egg printed gift box is $19.95, and two piece packs are $5.75. Choose from cake balls in assorted flavors (3 for $6.50), individually-wrapped sugar cookies ($4.75), and cookie decorating kits to enjoy at home ($9.95).
If you’re hosting a special brunch, consider Vanille’s scones (plain or cheddar chive) and “take and bake” croissants (choose between plain, chocolate, or chocolate and plain assortment). Or treat each guest with individual coffee cakes in lemon blueberry, raspberry, and mango passion ($4.50 each).
Vanille Patisserie’s Hyde Park location is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. For a special afternoon, make reservations for their new afternoon tea service, offered Thursday through Sunday at 12, 2, and 4 p.m. for groups of 2-4 people.
