More details will be added after registration closes. What is GLSP?
The Great Lakes Student Paleoconference is a student-lead effort to connect and share research in paleontology around the Great Lakes region. GLSP is a great place for students to gain confidence in promoting their work in a low stress setting, network among their peers, and experience world-class collections and facilities at neighboring institutions. This year, the 4th iteration of this conference will take place both on the UChicago campus and at the Field Museum on Oct 21-23, 2022. We invite graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs to attend and present at GLSP this fall – we encourage people to bring their talks or posters from GSA or SVP to our event.
GLSP was founded between University of Michigan and University of Chicago students. Since it’s founding, we’ve expanded to include students from many institutions nearby. In an effort to focus on networking across the Great Lakes/Midwest region, GLSP is limited to institutions from the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Ontario (Canada). If you are within a reasonable driving distance and are interested in attending, but aren’t sure if GLSP applies to you, reach out to us at our Contacts page for more information. Please do not register if you are outside the Great Lakes/Midwest area.
Please register for the meeting by June 30th, 2022. Registration is $15 for students and $25 for faculty and postdocs (with payment details within the registration form).
Abstracts will be accepted August 12th through September 2nd, 2022. Please check your email for the abstract form.
