“Global Babies, Local ScienceāTransnational Reproductive Migration for Lesbian Families in Taiwan”
This paper explores how Taiwanese lesbian couples, excluded from domestic access to assisted reproductive technologies (ART), navigate transnational IVF processes and create alternative kinship through embodied meaning-making. By examining their experiences, the study destabilizes dominant notions of heteronormativity, eugenics, and neoliberalism, offering a feminist postcolonial critique of reproductive governance and knowledge production.
