“Stripping Beyond Gender: Money and Sex Politics in Strip Clubs”

My thesis explores the sex politics and the role of monetary exchange in the construction of fantasy within the strip club. Specifically, it examines the complex emotional and physical labor that strippers navigate both within their workplaces and in their lives beyond the club, highlighting how gender, desire, and power are negotiated through performance and embodiment.
