The Development Cohort is a small group of students within the larger International Development Society. This group focuses specifically on four pillars: academic, professional, social, and political. Cohort sessions include presentations centered on theories that are critical to international development, topics that fall under the wider umbrella of international development, and career-oriented skills. We also host  guest speakers who are professors and researchers from the University of Chicago, as well as professionals that are working in the industry. We also host social events periodically through the quarter, as the cohort’s academic aspects are supplemented by the bonds created among cohort members.
