Imaging of Samples

To image ex-vivo clinical, preclinical, and/or material samples arrangements need to be made with the Core, and training may be required.

In-vivo Imaging

An approved ACUP  and related Imaging Form are necessary to initiate imaging of live animals.

If not sure about the imaging modality or protocol to include in the ACUP, please contact us to discuss.

MRI and microPET/SPECT/CT

Currently, all imaging is performed by iSAIRR staff. Please contact us to get started.

Self-serve Optical Imaging
  1. Users need to be listed on an approved ACUP
  2. Users will need to gain access to iSAIRR Facility by completing the iSAIRR Virtual Facility Tour which is hosted on AALAS Learning Library. Directions for creating an AALAS Learning Library account may be found on the IACUC website here.
  3. A training module needs to be completed, which includes:
    • Remote training videos and readings
    • One training session on the equipment (bioluminescence and/or fluorescence as needed)
    • One supervised experimental imaging session
Self-serve Ultrasound Imaging

Please note that iSAIRR does not have an ultrasound technologist on staff. Training is limited to the operation of the ultrasound equipment.
