Amaechi Ndili
Executive Chairman, CarePay Nigeria
Amaechi represents the quintessential African Entrepreneur, operating across African borders. He is the CEO & Executive Chairman of CarePay Nigeria and the Founder and CEO of Golden Tulip West Africa Hospitality Group and the African Hospitality Academy under his umbrella group — Lionstone. He moved back to Africa and based his businesses and theatre of operations there, focusing on scalable businesses that improve human capital — namely Education, healthcare, hospitality, agriculture, and real estate.
In 2010 Amaechi was awarded the prestigious Black Star of Africa award for his entrepreneurship and business acumen by the Millennium Excellence Award Foundation of Ghana — Amaechi is recognized as one of Africa’s leading business and thought leaders.
CarePay Nigeria, which he leads recently signed a partnership agreement with one of the region’s largest telco operators to develop and operate a digital platform that creates a healthcare marketplace — making healthcare more accessible and affordable to everyone, while concurrently improving the quality of healthcare in the markets they serve. The work in Nigeria further leverages the similar work being done in Kenya — where Fortune Magazine rated the CarePay/Safaricomm partnership as one of the top ten companies that will change the world.
His Hospitality Company has grown to one of the largest in the West African region with operations across various countries in the region, which led to the development of the African Hospitality Academy to grow local managerial, leadership and entrepreneurial talent to drive the local tourism and hospitality industry forwards.
Prior to returning to Africa, Amaechi was a Managing Director at GE Capital, Real Estate Group, and worked for McKinsey and Co. as a strategy consultant, and as a Mergers & Acquisitions Investment Banker in the New York offices of Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB)
Amaechi Ndili has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, an M. Sc in Construction Management & Land Economy from the University of Bath, a B.Sc and M. Sc in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, and a Doctorate in Business Admin from the University of Abuja.
He enjoys golf, cycling, tennis, sailing, playing the saxophone, painting, photography, and travel, and is an avid art collector.
