The Workshop on Late Antiquity and Byzantium will hold its first meeting of the
Autumn Quarter on Tuesday, October 5 at 4:30 p.m. in the Cochrane-Woods Art
Center, Room 152 (5540 S. Greenwood Ave).

Walter E. Kaegi, Professor of History at the University of Chicago, will present his
paper entitled “Reassessing Arnold J. Toynbee, Historian of Byzantium: With an
additional comment from William H. McNeill.”
