Our Story

Moot Court’s history

We were founded in 2013 by Tyler Ross (’15) and Tessa Weil (’14). Moot Court is a unique style of debate involving simulating appellate arguments. Every year, we read legal precedent and develop arguments to compete around the nation as part of the American Moot Court Association (AMCA).

Second City Regional

This year, we will host a regional tournament with the American Moot Court Association that attracts schools from around the nation.
