SBND Detector Move

On December 1, 2022, the SBND detector was moved 3 miles across the Fermilab site to the experimental hall on the Booster Neutrino Beam.  A (high-speed) movie of the exciting day produced by Fermilab is available on YouTube.

MicroBooNE experiment releases first electron neutrino results

This UChicago article discusses MicroBooNE’s first look at understanding the MiniBooNE low-energy excess (LEE). It describes the history of the sterile neutrino problem, some details about the LArTPC detector technology, and what we have to look forward to with SBN. It also mentions members of our group: Associate Professor David Schmitz and PhD student Lynn Tung–take a look!

You can also find links to all the papers and results plots on the MicroBooNE website.
