Joshua Macey specializes in environmental law, energy law, corporate law, and bankruptcy. His work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation, and has appeared or is forthcoming in the Harvard Law Review, Stanford Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review, Vanderbilt Law Review, Yale Law Journal, and Michigan Law Review.

Macey holds a BA in English literature from Yale University, an MSc in political theory from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a JD from Yale Law School, where he served as editor of the Yale Law Journal. He clerked for J. Harvie Wilkinson III, Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Most recently, he was a postdoctoral associate and a visiting assistant professor of law at Cornell Law School.
