Ethan Molitch-Hou

Ethan Molitch-Hou is an academic hospitalist who is board certified in internal medicine. He is interested in how electronic medical records and health information technology can impact direct patient care, patient-physician interaction, and quality improvement in hospital care. He is currently the Section of Hospital Medicine’s lead hospitalist for the care of patients with COVID-19, which includes responsibilities in administration, operations and clinical care, health information technology, education, and quality and research.

His research has been published in the American Journal of Medical Quality.

Molitch-Hou earned BS, MD, and MPH degrees from Northwestern University, and was honored with the Dr. Frederick Stenn Memorial Award for Humanism in Medicine by the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine. He then served as an internist at the United States Naval Hospital Okinawa. Most recently, he was an assistant professor at the Emory University School of Medicine, where he was recognized with the Hidden Gems award.
