Clarabelle DeVries practices pediatric orthopaedic care that spans such diverse issues as scoliosis, hip dysplasia, clubfeet, and cerebral palsy. In particular, her clinical interests include treatment of complex lower extremity deformity and limb deficiencies.
Her research has been published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, and she has contributed to the orthopaedic pediatric literature in Instructional Course Lectures, Volume 68 (AAOS Books/Wolters Kluwer Health, 2019) and Orthopedic Knowledge Update 13 (AAOS Books, 2020).
DeVries received her BS degree in materials science and engineering with a biomaterials subspecialty from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, followed by an MD from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her residency in orthopaedic surgery at Washington University in St. Louis–Barnes-Jewish Hospital, as well as fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics at Rady Children’s Hospital–San Diego.
