Danisa Daubenspeck

Danisa Daubenspeck is an anesthesiologist whose focus is on anesthetization issues surrounding heart surgery.
She is currently involved in a research study entitled “Randomized, Double Blinded Trial Comparing Intrathecal Morphine with Placebo in Patients Undergoing Robotic Totally Endoscopic Beating Heart Coronary Revascularization and Intraoperative Extubation.” She has published work in Cardiac Anesthesia: A Problem-Based Learning Approach (Oxford University Press, 2019), Difficult Decisions in Cardiothoracic Critical Care Surgery (Springer, in press), and the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia. She has presented her work before the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.
Daubenspeck earned a BS in biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a certificate of pre-medical studies at Dominican University. She received a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, and then completed a residency in anesthesia and critical care as well as a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesia at the University of Chicago Medicine.
