Katherine Harris

Katherine Harris is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist who provides comprehensive care to children with cancer and blood disorders. Her primary focus is on treating pediatric patients with high-risk hematologic malignancies undergoing stem cell transplant. She also specializes in treating children and young adults using immunotherapies, a treatment that uses a patient’s own immune system to fight cancer.
Her publications have appeared in Frontiers of Immunology, Blood, and The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Harris earned a BS in chemistry from the University of South Carolina and holds an MD from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
