Luke Reynolds

Luke Reynolds specializes in the medical and surgical management of complex kidney stones, benign prostate hyperplasia, and prostate biopsy. He was trained in advanced kidney stone surgery, robotic and laparoscopic surgery for kidney disease, and kidney transplant. He also has expertise in a wide range of endourologic procedures, including percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopy, and shockwave lithotripsy and endoscopic management of benign prostate hyperplasia. In addition to his clinical work, he is studying the cause of kidney stone formation, surgical treatments for kidney stone disease, and management of postoperative pain following endourologic surgery. His research also focuses on prostate cancer detection through the use of magnetic resonance imaging in combination with prostate biopsy. He also serves as the assistant program director of the urology residency training program.
His research has been published in Urology, Asian Journal of Urology, Canadian Urological Association Journal, Current Urology Reports, and the Canadian Journal of Urology, and has been a reviewer for a number of urologic journals.
Reynolds earned his MD from Dalhousie Medical School in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He completed his residency at The Ottawa Hospital, and a clinical fellowship in endourology, laparoscopic/robotic surgery, and renal transplant at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto.
