Nathan Woltman

Nathan Woltman is an emergency and prehospital physician. He began his career in health care as a fire medic, and has also worked in search and rescue, disaster medicine, military medicine, and law enforcement. His international disaster medicine experience includes responses to earthquakes in Pakistan and Haiti.
His research has been published in EMS World, Journal of Special Operations Medicine, and Resuscitation.
Woltman received BS and MS degrees from Colorado State University, and an MD from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. He completed a residency in emergency medicine and a focused year of study in law enforcement medicine and emergency medical services at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also completed a fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Previously, he was associate director for the special operations fellowship program at the Johns Hopkins Center for Law Enforcement Medicine, and served as medical director for the Johns Hopkins Lifeline critical care transport team and the Maryland Aviation Administration.
