Rebecca A. Propper

Rebecca A. Propper specializes in pediatric critical care, with a research focus on bioethics. Her ongoing investigations include a mixed-methods study of ethical dilemmas in pediatric clinical care, as well as research into ethics consultations in pediatric intensive care units. She has presented her findings at recent meetings of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the International Conference on Clinical Ethics and Consultation.
Propper attended the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she received a BS in management. She then completed a Princeton in Asia fellowship in Bangkok, working at Population Services International on public health projects. She later earned her MD from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University and completed a pediatric residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine and Ochsner Clinic Foundation, during which she received the Jay P. Goldsmith, M.D. Award in Pediatrics. She then completed a pediatric critical care fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with distinction in biomedical ethics.
