Our Story
A Message from Our Founder
Welcome to the website for Phoenix Farms, UChicago’s premier beekeeping and urban agriculture organization. Comprised of a mixture of undergraduates, graduate students, and university employees, we tend the highest hives in Illinois south of the Chicago Loop and our garden boasts some of the most unique crops in the city. From suiting up and tending to over 40,000 bees to trying to grow rainbow corn, our club has a lot to offer.
