Eligibility and Requirements
Applications
- 12-15 Students will be selected for funding
- Projects submitted must be directly related to Cancer Research
- All types of research will be accepted, however, preference will be given to those candidates performing basic science work
Requirements for Accepted Applicants:
- Registration in SOAR Spring Seminar Series
- Completion of 11 week Summer Seminal Journal Club
- Attendance at 2 tumor boards and 3 interprofessional shadowing experiences
- Completion of pre, post and Seminar Speaker Feedback surveys
Benefits:
- SOAR Scholars will gain an enhanced interdisciplinary and interprofessional perspective on cancer care and research
- Designation as an NCI funding awardee
How to Apply:
Students can apply by checking the SOAR box on their Summer Research Project (SRP) application.
- To be considered, all applications must be submitted per the SRP timeline
- Applicants will be notified before the end of Winter Quarter
