Christina Mo is a Postdoctoral Fellow interested in the neural circuits underlying higher order processes. Her current focus is on the communication between primary to secondary cortical areas via thalamic nuclei and how this transthalamic route of processing contributes to sensory and cognitive functions. 

To understand the functions of these circuits, she uses combinations of 2-photon calcium imaging, optogenetics, head-fixed behavioral tasks, slice and in vivo electrophysiology, metabolic and intrinsic signal imaging and trans-synaptic tracing.

From mid 2016, Christina is supported by the CJ Martin Overseas Early Career Fellowship from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) in Australia.
