About the Program

This study aims to pilot a new model for feeding therapy for children with tracheostomies and feeding tubes. Participation in this randomized controlled trial will last about one year and includes a combination of in-home visits and telemedicine therapy sessions. The intervention group will participate in bi-weekly individual virtual feeding therapies and weekly mealtime group therapy sessions with other families in the group. Participants in the control group will participate in a weekly group mealtime therapy session with other families. All participants will complete assessments with our team at 5 different time points (enrollment, 3-month, 6- month, 9-month, and 12-months).
