Jamie Gentry

Senior Program Manager

Jamie manages the operations of SISRM including the coordination of its courses, development and execution of its summer workshop programming, execution of the RA program, and oversight of all communications. Prior to joining the Summer Institute, she worked at the UChicago Center for Latin American Studies as its student affairs coordinator. Jamie holds an MA in Latin American Studies from the University of Chicago (AM ’11) and a BA in Spanish  from Kansas State University. In addition to her passion for student-focused services, Jamie is an active gardener, reader, and volunteer chef at a local community kitchen.

Communications and Programming Coordinator

As Communications and Programming Coordinator, Connie supports the development and execution of the programming for students in the Summer Institute in Social Research Methods, creates original content for the SISRM newsletter and the SISRM annual report, and supports the development of ongoing relationships between SISRM and units across campus.

Connie is a rising second-year in the College; she is pre-med and majors in Germanic Studies. Outside of coursework, Connie enjoys photography, baking, and video games. She is a responder with UCEMS and also works as a student researcher in a lab.

As Communications and Programming Coordinator, Josh supports the development and execution of the programming for students in the Summer Institute in Social Research Methods, creates original content for the SISRM newsletter and the SISRM annual report, and supports the development of ongoing relationships between SISRM and units across campus.

Josh is a rising second-year in the College double majoring in Political Science and French. Outside of coursework, Josh enjoys political advocacy, learning French and Spanish, and reading anything he can from Toni Morrison. Josh is on the competitive team for UChicago’s Model United Nations, the chair of a crisis committee in UChicago’s Model United Nations conference (ChoMUN), the marketing director for French Club, and a baritone in Motet Choir.
