Since 1945, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) has made it its mission to serve Chicago and the world as an “innovative and compelling center of contemporary art where the public can experience the work and ideas of living artists, and understand the historical, social, and cultural context of the art of our time.

The museum boldly interweaves exhibitions, performances, collections, and educational programs to excite, challenge, and illuminate our visitors and offer insight into the creative process.”

Designed in 1991 by renowned architect Josef Paul Kleihues in accordance with his theory of “poetic rationalism,” the MCA stands, not as a passive monument, but as a vibrant cultural hub, a place where visitors and Chicago natives alike can come to learn, explore, and imagine as a community.

The museum’s galleries will be open for the full length of the banquet, leaving plenty of time for guests to enjoy their meal and tour the wide range of art the MCA has to offer.
