What We Do

Student Defenders is dedicated to protecting students from the violation of their rights. As such, Student Defenders will help you navigate through UChicago’s administrative or disciplinary system in any capacity. Whether you need help preparing for a hearing, want a support person to be there for you, or just want more information and guidance on how the University’s disciplinary process works, contact us for help today!

FIRE Speaker Event

Join us for a special speaker event on April 16th from 5:30PM-7:00PM at Logan Center 801 with Susan Kruth and Molly Nocheck from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE). Susan Kruth is a lawyer, working in FIRE’s legal and public advocacy department, and Molly Nocheck lead’s the FIRE Student Network. Together they will be speaking on students’ First Amendment rights and practical steps for creating positive change on campus. Additionally, this event will be of great interest to any students interested in applying to FIRE’s summer internship program next year. Dinner from Chipotle will be provided!
