About

I’m a fifth-year PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Chicago. I also hold a BA (in linguistics) from NYU.

Broadly, my research interests are primarily in formal semantics. More narrowly, I’m interested in the semantics of comparatives and superlatives, indefinite and existential constructions, and covert modality. One ongoing project regards ‘internal’ interpretations of comparatives and superlatives (e.g. in Mike is faster now). I’m also interested in syntax and the syntax-semantics interface, particularly in Hungarian.
