She is incredibly grateful to have been able to attend the University of Chicago for the last three years in a city so rich with theatrical history. Outside of theater, has been involved in Jumpstart, a program that provides supplemental education to preschool children, and her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi. After graduation this June, Dara will be moving to New York City to pursue acting full time.

Project Statement
86th Annual is a one-woman musical comedy show. Inspired by the 2014 Oscars and my experiences of award shows, celebrity culture, and middle school, the show combines stand-up comedy and a miscellany of songs with lyrics written by me. My written piece will be a reflection on the creation process, specifically looking at the ways social media and technology allowed for this unique production. With several costume changes, a wig cut in half, and multiple references to Julia Roberts, 86th Annual is a celebration of celebrations, and has been a joy to create.
