Wed. March 12th 8-10pm Adi Barak & Amy Stebbins “MAKING A (RE)ENTRANCE PART II: storytime”

Please join the Theater & Performance Studies Workshop  Wednesday, March 12th from 8-10pm for a workshop performance of “MAKING A (RE)ENTRANCE PART II: storytime” directed by Adi Barak (Postdoctoral Fellow, SSA) and Amy Stebbins (Germanic/Cinema & Media Studies).

“MAKING A (RE)ENTRANCE” is a performance collaboration with students and residents of the Crossroads Adult Transition Center. The workshop will include a short performance followed by a round-table discussion about the use of  personal narratives as material for a theater that seeks to present itself as “political.” Round-table participants include: Erica Daniels (Steppenwolf Theater), Bobby Moore (Safer Foundation), Christine Dunford-Head (Associate Professor of Theater, UIC & Looking Glass Theater company member), Ben Reuler (LIFT Chicago) and Nikki Zeleski (FYI Performing Health Collective). The conversation will be moderated by Christopher Skrable (University Community Service Center). For more information, please visit the project rehearsal blog at: http://makingareentrance.wordpress.com/.
